Written Word Challenge Day 2

December 14, 2010 · Print This Article

I was a little worried I wouldn’t be able to keep up the pace from yesterday, but I did all right.  The one drawback from writing so much yesterday meant I had to take time today for proofreading.

Plus the morning started slow as I wrestled with an RSS feed issue.  After wasting a lot of time and not fixing it, I gave up.  Its interesting how a challenge really makes you look at how you spend your time.  Every minute counts!

And I’m loving how this challenge forces me to work on projects I’ve been procrastinating on.
The numbers don’t explain that I worked on an ebook I’d set aside for weeks.  I dusted it off and added 1293 words.  Man that felt good!

    Oh My God!
That's a lot, do you have any technique for doing this? Have you ever heard of spinners?

    Hi Fernando,

Thanks for stopping by and giving me a break from writing. :)
I don't have any techniques per se, just dogged determination to see this challenge through.  But typically, articles have a format to them -

    Intro and problem
    Solutions, ideas or tips
    Conclusion

Yes, I've heard of spinners but I've not been impressed with the ones I've seen.  I guess I'm a snooty writer and prefer to do it the old-fashioned way.  Especially since I write most of my articles to sell.

    Thanks,

    Peggy
