Have You Ever Done This?

I’ve decided to add a new category called “Have You Ever Done This?” It’s the spot for us to put any quirky items or tricky little tips that have to do with Internet Marketing and our personalities.

I’ll go first with one thing I did recently… and you can tell me if you’ve ever done this, or something similar, or something not even remotely similar but you want to talk about it here.

Last week I had to go to the dentist for some “repair work”. I really don’t like going to the dentist and was feeling very uncomfortable about it.  So what I did was set up a promotion to go out to my list right at the time the dentist was going to start torturing, er, working in my mouth.  That way, while in this situation I could think about something that makes me happy (making a few bucks), instead of laying there all uptight with my hands balled into fists.

Now it’s your turn. Have you ever set up a promotion to go out in the middle of some negative event in your life? Or anything else?

    Hey Peggy!

    I think that’s a great idea. Although I have never set anything up to be sent out in the middle of a traumatic event, I may start using that idea in the future.

    I can hear it now….the cash registers sounds right in the middle of the dentist drilling. HA!

    I have always feel good about making money and somehow
    it makes me into a more confident person.

    I have yet to be good in presenting but whenever I feel nervous, I will just tell myself Im good in contributing marketing ideas. =)

    I’ve been to the dentist so much I have become numb to the terror of getting in that chair. Beginning with braces at 13 (believe me - no one else had even heard of them) and culminating with a surgery that did its number on my teeth, I now have a mouth full of caps and crowns. I also have no more roots as they have all said bye by way of the dentist.

    I have had to talk to myself a lot since starting internet marketing. I can’t seem to get overly excited about making money. But I do love to teach and it is providing me the opportunity to do that.

    I just remind myself that having a different motivation is more than ok. Believe me spending a lifetime as a teacher wasn’t done because of the money. I have a favorite saying that I just recall: “To teach is to change a life forever”.
