Day 1 Written Word Challenge
December 13, 2010 · Print This Article
Well, as I figured would happen, I was too pumped up to sleep well. I woke several times and gave it up at 4:30 am when I found myself composing my thoughts into blog posts.
But I did good on the challenge! And frankly, I'm surprised with what I accomplished today. That's what this challenge is all about – finding out what I'm really capable of. The biggest pat on the back goes to my astonishing outcome of writing 5 PLR articles before lunch. And I did work out in the morning and run my son's snowboard back to the shop so it wasn't nonstop work.
Wow, who knew? Not me!
Here's the deal… I wrote 5 articles without procrastinating, checking my email constantly, playing spider solitaire first, or hacking through my jungle of internal whining. The articles were on a subject I don't know that much about, so I did have to do some research. And they're still rough, but the hardest part is done.
Here's the thing – I make on average $20-30+ per PLR article I write, so to have a bundle of 7 PLR articles ready to go on Wednesday means about $140-210 income. So why don't I write the PLR bundles more consistently? I've got too many other things going on that I also enjoy spending time on. Writing PLR is not the only way I make money, but it is a consistent earner for me.

You go Peggy! I love following this challenge. It’s inspiring me to do the same. Procrastination is a big obstacle for me as well so a challenge like this one might be what the money doctor ordered.
Digging the ticker widget you got going. Pretty cool way to visualize the challenge.
Rock on.

Thanks, Alan.
This challenge is making me do things I’ve been putting off. I could stil use more hours in the day though.
I like the counter widget too! They’ve got lots of different styles to choose from. I first saw one on Webcareergirl.com and thought it was pretty neat.

Peggy! I’d love to talk to you more about where you’re selling your PLR articles because, I’m sure you know, I do a LOT of writing and would love to know some of the resources (if that’s possible).
On subject: that’s really wonderful that you were able to be so fired up about your writing – don’t let an opportunity pass you by if you’re really feeling in the mood, ya know? There will be many times where you may want to write but then push it off because you’re vegging out but that’s the worst time to do so because those moments are pure productivity – you sit down and just crank out articles like craziness when you’re in “the mode”.
It’s all about finding that perfect time to write too – from what I’ve learned – I stayed up until 6am on Sunday recently and got more done between 12am – 6am than nearly the entire week combined!

Hi Murray,
I did find this post in my spam folder. This blog hasn’t been playing nice with me the last few days.
I could ramble on and on about PLR because that’s a favorite subject of mine. lol I may be doing a Q and A thing with a blogging friend of yours in a few weeks and maybe that will answer some of your questions. If not, fire away over at my new PLR blog attached to my PLR site. It’s http://www.allstarplr.com/blog
Wow, that’s impressive that you got more done after hours on a Sunday than the entire week! Way to go!
Thanks,
Peggy
Really looking forward to it Peggy – I’m literally sitting on hundreds of articles I’ve wrote over the last year that have either gone unpublished or are still in my ownership – I’d love to find a new way to put them to great work
